Heres an update, a character sculpt i did of Jack Nicholson for a CG Feedback competition.

Have also been doing some doodles in Zbrush and working on some renders, will hopefully have something to show soon. Oh and heres something a little fun I did the other day.

Ive also been sculpting a bit in a great free 3D sculpting software called Sculptris, would highly recommend it if you want to practice sculpting without the hassle of making a base mesh.

About time I updated this blog with some work! Ive been mostly buisy with my first year out in the CG Industry , but now as its coming to an end I have a bit of time to reflect and gather together all that I have learnt. Anywho ill start posting up some of the stuff ive done thought the year although allot of my commercial work cant be shown yet.

To start off heres a series of adds I worked on at a studio named Toybox. They were for a University named CPIT and I did pretty much all the modelling and animation of the curves.

Hey all its been a while but im back, this piece is my latest piece that im planning to add to my showreel. It was intended as an anatomy study with a bit of a twist. I used Photoshop, Maya, Mudbox and After Effects to make them and it took me about 6 weeks (with many hours spent figuring out all the kinks :P)

So this was my final image for the CGNZ Jason and the Argonauts competition. Many Hours of labour were poured into this and still could be but i think ill let it rest for now. The idea for it was that the ancient Greek Gods were actually Aliens and therefore all their 'mystical powers' were actually just extremely advanced technology.
Ill add some of the concept art for him below and a workup of the final image aswell as a link to my thread in the competition.

Lighting Challenge

Hey again, to get to the point this scene was given to my class as a lighting assignment. We had to unwrap, texture, light and composite it. It was allot of fun but due to time constrictions i only had 4 days to do it in. it was also a good introduction to using crazy bump which really helped me to pump out my textures.

2009 Final Short, Left Behind.

This was my final animation for my first year studying 3D done at the end of last year. The back story is that the main character was knocked out during some war and being robotic has stayed there unconscious for some length of time. He then re-awakens and all the other robots are gone, leaving him alone.
